Happy Tuesday, Reader!
This is an important and timely message I hope you'll read 'till the end.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, during the pandemic of 2020, we founded a secret society. It was an experiment, really. But a lot of the people who joined as Founding Members are still with us, and the Wonder & Whimsy Society is still going strong, so I guess the experiment was a success.
You may have heard about the Wonder & Whimsy Society before (or perhaps even been a member at one time), but it has undergone some BIG changes. I wanted to let you know about them and invite you to consider joining before it's too late (more on that soon):
Members now receive a Mystery Mailing every month! It might be an envelope filled with a few delightful goodies or a big box stuffed with something surprising. More often than not, it's something neat we designed just for members that you can't get anywhere else. (We're about to send January's mailing, and it features something REALLY cool...🃏)
We host all kinds of online events, including Coffee Chats with Kim, Game Nights, and Wonder Workshops on a variety of relevant topics.
We also organize in-person gatherings like Field Trips to zoos and plays, as well as a Family Reunion in our backyard in Sheboygan.
Members enjoy big discounts at our online store and on all of our courses and events (like Wondernite and Escape Adulthood Summits).
Although it started with an annual membership fee, it's now monthly, with no long-term commitments, so you can give it a try for a few months to see if it's a fit.
One thing that hasn't changed is the community. That's the best part.
The Wonder & Whimsy Society is for people who honor their childlike spirit and want to create a life filled with adventure, meaning, and joy.
If you’ve ever felt like that childlike spirit is an unwelcome guest in your own family, circle of friends, or workplace, there is a place for you here. This is your tribe, your people, where you no longer have to apologize for being you.
It's like the family you choose.
We love doing life with members of the Wonder & Whimsy Society. Kim and I have a lot of demands on our time and many people asking to "pick our brains." Frankly, members of the W&WS are the ones we always make time for. They get unparalleled VIP access to us and a front-row seat to the stuff we create, all of which they get to experience first.
It takes a lot to craft the experience we provide, which is why we've decided to put a cap on membership.
This is the reason for this email: we still have room, but space is limited.
If you think the Wonder & Whimsy Society is calling your name, or you're a previous member who wants to jump back in, now is the time. Depending on how quickly we fill up, I can't guarantee you a spot, but I will promise that everyone who jumps in TODAY (Tuesday, January 14th) will be added to the list in time to receive the January Mystery Mailing.
Thanks for reading. Even if W&WS is not a fit for you, I appreciate having you in this merry band of Adultitis Fighters!
Stay young and stay fun,
P.S.
Save the date! Wonder Weekend is set for September 12 + 13, 2025. That includes Wondernite on Friday (members get tickets half-off) and Saturday is the members-only Family Reunion in our backyard overlooking Lake Michigan.

2025 Issue #5 👹 Happy Sunday, Reader! Greetings from California, where I am flying home today with a smile on my face after overseeing some epic ugly cookie decorating at an educator summit yesterday...talk about scary! "NO" is a monster that frightens many of us. It's so intimidating that we'll forfeit the chance of getting something awesome because the mere chance of hearing "No" keeps us from even asking. Granted, no one likes to be turned down for a job, a date, or entry to a school we...
Special Issue 🍋 Happy Friday, Reader! I recently designed a deck of playing cards for members of the Wonder & Whimsy Society and we printed a very limited number of extras that we decided to offer for sale. A word of warning, however: there are 60 times more people receiving this email than decks currently available, so if you're interested, don't dilly-dally! With 52 of my colorful and whimsical paintings represented, this is like a pocket-sized art gallery. The casino-grade, poker-sized...
2025 Issue #4 🦅 "The Prepper" by Jason Kotecki. Oil on canvas.Mini*Print available until July 31. 2025 Happy Sunday, Reader! Greetings from Sheboygan, where Mom is on a weekend retreat with her girlfriends, and Dad and the kids are eating too many doughnuts and too much pizza. When my wife told me she was pregnant with our first child, my heart filled with joy. Two seconds later, panic arrived at the party. All I could think about was how profoundly our lives were about to change and I didn't...
